The Erasmus Program is a sub-program of Lifelong Learning Program (LLP) which aims to support the creation of an European Higher Education Area and to reinforce the contribution to the higher education and advanced vocational training in the process of innovation across Europe.

OTHER OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM ARE:

  • To contribute to the development of a high quality lifelong learning and its possibilities;
  • To strengthen personal motivation, social cohesion, active citizenship and European citizenship;
  • To promote creativity, competitiveness and employability;
  • To increase the participation in lifelong learning;
  • To promote learning and diversity of languages;
  • To explore innovative results, products and processes.

The Erasmus Program supports the mobility of students and both academic and non-academic staff in Europe. It also promotes the relationships among Higher Education Institutions through Intensive Programmes, Academic and Structural Networks and Multilateral Projects.
