The Erasmus office is the responsible for organizing, promoting and supporting staff mobility. We give all practical and bureaucratic information by email, collective and personal sessions and organize several (net)meetings with outgoing/incoming staff in order to prepare them for the mobility period. This type of mobility aims to provide relevant practical skills to the performed tasks within the institution and to professional development. As CESPU staff members have to do at least 35 hours/year of training for career advancement, this mobility is recognized as training workload and it will be included in the staff evaluation forms, as recommended.

The country of origin or the host country must be an EU Member State.

TEACHING ASSIGNEMENTS (STA)

  • Are eligible as candidates:
    1. CESPU Teachers with Portuguese nationality, stateless persons, refugees or having the status of permanent resident, contracted under the Teaching Career Statute of Higher Education, on a full time basis.
  • Eligible activities:
    1. Short duration teaching programs at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with a bilateral agreement with CESPU.
    2. The HEI partner should have agreed in advance with the teaching program to be taught by the teacher.
  • Duration of mobility:
    1. There is a requirement to teach at least 5 hours (at least one day) in order to provide an essential contribution to the teaching program as well as for the international academic life at the host institution. It may be accepted on an exceptional basis, shorter periods, if duly justified. The maximum duration is 6 weeks.

TRAINING (STT)

  • Are elegible as candidates:
    1. CESPU Teachers with Portuguese nationality, stateless persons, refugees or having the status of permanent resident, contracted under the Teaching Career Statute of Higher Education, on a full time basis.
    2. CESPU Staff members on a full time basis with Portuguese nationality, stateless persons, refugees or having the status of permanent resident.
  • Are elegible as candidates:
    1. Professional training of practical nature at HEIs of other European countries (Erasmus partners or not) - Work Shadowing;
    2. Professional training of practical nature at enterprises;
    3. Participation in seminars, conferences, workshops, since it doesn’t represent the majority of training days;
    4. The HEI or partner enterprise must have agreed in advance with the training program to be carried out by the teacher / staff.
  • Are elegible as candidates:
    1. The duration of mobility should be between 1 (5 days of work) to 6 weeks. Knowing though that sometimes it is difficult to the Institution staff absent for a week, shorter stays abroad are allowed. The organic unit must provide justification when mobility is less than 1 week.

The interested persons in doing an Erasmus Teaching Assignement / Training Period must:

  1. Get informed about the general conditions of the program;
  2. Get informed about the application process in CESPU;
  3. Formalize the application within the specific period and using the official application form:

Before completing the application form the candidates must gather information from CESPU Erasmus Office CESPU and the Website of the institutions to which they wish to apply.

      • Selection

        The selection of candidates is in sole responsibility of CESPU Schools’ Directions. The selection criteria are available at the Erasmus Office.

      • Required Documentation
        1. Application Form;
        2. Provisional Teaching Assignment / Training Program;
        3. Copies of ID card, fiscal number card and visa (for non Portuguese persons);
        4. Curriculum Vitae;
        5. Foreign Language Course Certificate(s), if applicable.

BOLSA ERASMUS

The value of the Erasmus grants varies depending on the country of destination and the length of stay. The Erasmus grant are calculated according to the table of maximum mobility grants, prepared each academic year by the National Agency, and includes two items:

        • Subsistence expenses or per diem

It is a fixed amount (per diem) by country of destination, calculated based on daily rates, and according to the duration of mobility. These values ​​are a contribution to the additional expenses incurred in the performance of the mobility abroad, such as accommodation, food, local travel, insurance, visa costs, telecommunications, internet, etc..

        • Despesas de Viagem

It corresponds to the actual values ​​of the outward travel and return. Travel expenses are reimbursed when properly supported, upon presentation of respective invoices, tickets and boarding passes, and up to the maximum amount set for the heading "Travel" at the reference table from the National Agency.
